Pre-startup Preparations
1. Remove carbon deposits from the furnace retort and inspect the sealing gasket.
2. Check the circulation fan and motor; apply grease to the bearings and ensure water flow to the cooling jacket.
3. Check the thermocouple position and the hydraulic lifting mechanism.
4. Check the drip feed unit and the storage reservoirs for methanol and kerosene.
Furnace Operation Procedures
1. Turn on the main power switch.
2. Power on to begin heating only after verifying that the instruments (see "Carburizing Furnace Temperature Control Recorder") and automatic control systems are functioning correctly.
3. Start the fan when heating begins.
4. Begin dripping kerosene (or methanol) when the furnace temperature reaches 850°C.
5. Once the furnace reaches the target temperature, cut off power to the furnace and fan before loading the workpieces. Then, close the furnace door securely, reconnect power to the fan and furnace, and proceed with operations as required.
6. After removing the workpieces, close the furnace lid securely, keep the fan running, cut off power to the furnace heating elements, and drip in a small amount of kerosene.
7. Stop dripping kerosene when the furnace temperature drops to 850°C.
8. Stop the fan and turn off the main power switch when the furnace temperature drops to 600°C.
