Product Introduction

The bright tempering furnace is a heat treatment unit designed for tempering quenched metal parts in a controlled atmosphere. Unlike conventional open tempering equipment, it operates in a fully sealed chamber filled with inert or mixed protective gas, helping reduce surface oxidation, discoloration and decarburization during tempering.

The equipment helps relieve residual quenching stress and stabilize the metal structure while maintaining the required hardness and toughness of the workpieces. It supports batch processing of precision fasteners, springs, tool parts and automotive components. Chamber dimensions, temperature range and atmosphere configuration can be specified according to different steel grades and production requirements.

Working Principle

Quenched workpieces are loaded and sealed inside the bright tempering furnace chamber. Internal air and moisture are purged before protective gas is introduced to establish the required furnace atmosphere. The heating system raises the chamber temperature to the required tempering range and maintains the set temperature for the required holding time.

The PID controller adjusts heating output to maintain the set furnace temperature throughout the tempering cycle. After heat preservation, workpieces undergo slow cooling inside the sealed atmosphere. The controlled atmosphere helps maintain consistent mechanical properties and surface appearance between batches.
