Product Introduction
The Pit Type Carburizing Furnace is a periodic operation electric furnace, mainly used for gas carburizing of carbon steel machine parts. When used with an electric furnace control cabinet, it can automatically control and record the furnace temperature.
Working Principle
Workpieces are loaded vertically into the furnace chamber using a suitable fixture or lifting device. After the furnace cover is closed and fully sealed, electric heating elements raise the chamber temperature to the preset carburizing range.
Carburizing medium is delivered into the sealed chamber to form a stable treatment atmosphere. Carbon diffuses into the surface of the workpieces during the carburizing stage and forms the required carburized layer. Carbon potential, temperature and holding duration are regulated following the selected process parameters.
After carburizing, diffusion and holding, the workpieces are cooled according to the selected process before unloading or further heat treatment.
Main Components
The new type of pit type carburizing furnace, designed and manufactured by absorbing advanced foreign technology, consists of a furnace body (composite furnace lining), heating elements, muffle pot, suspended guide tube, hot air circulating fan (water-cooled sealed motor), furnace base, furnace cover, furnace cover lifting mechanism, carbon potential/temperature (microcomputer) control system, atmosphere system, etc. The large-scale pit-type gas carburizing furnace adopts a suspended bottomless muffle (sand seal/oil seal) structure.
