Built for industrial batch high-temperature thermal processing, this High Temperature Pit Type Resistance Furnace adapts to oversized, elongated metal workpieces that cannot be stably placed or processed in conventional horizontal furnace equipment. The vertical pit layout supports upright installation of long shafts, steel bars, pipe fittings and annular parts, matching the actual placement demands of large workpieces and fitting limited workshop layout conditions.
Process and Customization Description
This High Temperature Pit Type Resistance Furnace covers multiple high-temperature processes including high-temperature annealing, normalizing, solid solution treatment and residual stress relief. All core configurations are customizable. Factory technicians adjust furnace depth, inner cavity diameter, heating power and temperature control schemes according to on-site workpiece size, single-batch load and targeted heat treatment standards. The inner cavity is laid with temperature-matched refractory and heat insulation materials to cope with long-term high-temperature cyclic operation. Perimeter heating element layout covers the full working area, and segmented multi-zone temperature testing can be equipped for deep cavity furnaces to calibrate axial temperature differences.
Working Principle
In actual operation, workpieces are hoisted and fixed vertically in the furnace cavity through factory cranes and special supporting fixtures. After the furnace cover is fully closed and locked, the equipment starts heating according to pre-stored process programs. Internal heating elements generate continuous heat, which acts on workpiece surfaces through thermal radiation and cavity air convection. Multiple groups of thermocouples arranged at different depth positions collect real-time temperature data and feed it back to the PID control cabinet. The system dynamically adjusts heating power to complete constant-temperature heating and timed holding procedures. Operators finish subsequent discharging and transfer work after the whole thermal cycle ends.

A self-developed silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) and solid-state relay temperature control cabinet and microcomputer multi-segment temperature control technology are used, improving temperature control accuracy and reliability.
