The box-type furnace, also known as a muffle furnace, is a batch-production heating furnace featuring a box-shaped chamber. It is suitable for the chemical analysis of coal, coking products, and chemical raw materials, and is widely used across industries-such as electric power, coal, papermaking, petrochemicals, cement, agriculture and animal husbandry, pharmaceutical research, and education-for the heat treatment of workpieces. Its structure comprises a furnace chamber, a sealing system, a circulation fan, and a control system. The chamber is constructed from stainless steel and equipped with bidirectional circulation air ducts; the door utilizes a dual-seal design combining ceramic fiber rope and silicone rubber; and an adjustable chimney is located at the rear. The unit is characterized by ease of operation and maintenance.
The equipment employs an intelligent programmable temperature controller to achieve continuous PID control. Its process library management function records data throughout the entire part-processing cycle and supports real-time modification of process parameters. The control system incorporates multi-level security verification mechanisms to safeguard parameter integrity; operational changes require confirmation to take effect, and process data is logged in a database. Furnace temperature uniformity is enhanced through measures such as optimized power distribution, the addition of electric heating elements at the furnace door, and forced convection. These furnaces can be categorized by heating method (resistance, induction, or gas heating), temperature range (low, medium, or high temperature), and control type (standard, programmable, or intelligent).
